Straatparkeren in Mariaberg duurder vanaf 2024 - ook parkeervergunning stijgt in prijs

De gemeente Maastricht verhoogt per 1 januari 2024 de parkeertarieven voor straatparkeren. De verhoging geldt ook voor Mariaberg en is van toepassing voor parkeren op straat en vergunningen. Volgens 1Limburg is de stijging van de parkeertarieven in Maastricht aan de forse kant vergelijken met elders in de provincie Limburg.

Wat houdt de verhoging in?

Het tarief voor straatparkeren in de binnenstad wordt verhoogd van 3,00 euro naar 3,50 euro per uur. In het overige gebied - waaronder Mariaberg - gaat het tarief omhoog van 1,50 euro naar 1,80 euro per uur. Het dagtarief voor parkeren in onze wijk wordt verhoogd van 6,80 euro naar 7,80 euro.

Parkeervergunningen worden ook duurder in Mariaberg

Daarnaast verhoogt de gemeente ook de tarieven voor parkeervergunningen met 15 procent. Het nieuwe tarief voor een parkeervergunning in Mariaberg wordt 4,77 per maand voor de eerste vergunning en 7,16 euro per maand voor de tweede vergunning. Een woon-werk vergunning kost 54,58 euro.

Kosten naheffingsaanslag parkeerbelasting

Vanaf 1 januari 2024 bedraagt de boete voor het niet betalen van parkeerbelasting 76,70 euro. Dit is het maximumbedrag dat is vastgesteld door de Rijksoverheid.

Street parking in Mariaberg will become more expensive starting in 2024 - permit prices will also increase

The municipality of Maastricht will raise parking fees for street parking effective January 1, 2024. This increase will also apply to Mariaberg and will affect both street parking and permits. According to 1Limburg, the increase in parking fees in Maastricht is  substantial compared to elsewhere in the province of Limburg.

What does the increase entail?

The rate for street parking in the city center will rise from 3.00 euros to 3.50 euros per hour. In other areas, including Mariaberg, the rate will increase from 1.50 euros to 1.80 euros per hour. The daily parking rate (for parking your car effectively 24 hours)  in our neighborhood will increase from 6.80 euros to 7.80 euros.

Parking permits will also become more expensive in Mariaberg

Additionally, the municipality will raise the rates for parking permits by 15 percent. The new rate for a parking permit in Mariaberg will be 4.77 euros per month for your first permit and 7.16 euros per month for a second permit. A residential work permit will cost 54.58 euros.

Costs of parking tax penalty

From January 1, 2024, the fine for not paying parking tax will amount to 76.70 euros. This is the maximum amount set by the Dutch government.
